My favorites are the personalized ones, the ones that couldn't be given to anyone else.
A perk of photographing my friends is being able to give them some of the most personalized gifts, it really is a great feeling watching them open something that was made just for them!
Here is what I gave my Best Friend for her wedding shower along with some of my favorite gifts from our wedding and showers.

I love thoughtful gifts which is why I love etsy so much! These are all great ideas.
ReplyDeleteThanks, and I know Etsy is my weakness!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about making it personal. I love giving monogrammed things or something that ties in the entire family of theirs. Any craft by hand is always great too. it shows that you took the love and time to dedicate to them! Love the blog, Laura Beth. I just started and would love the support! Cheers, Lena (www.shinystout.com)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you on the personalized gift giving. I think it makes the gift that much more special when it is just for the individual/family than something your neighbor could have. I think that is what I love about crafts, is that you make the good, not a corporation that sells the same thing across the country or world.
ReplyDeleteI love giving my friends homemade gifts or finding fun things on Etsy that are personalized. I've given my friend a monogrammed wooden cutting board from a deal on Pick Your Plum. I also have some gifts that I painted to personalize them that I will be giving this Christmas that I can't go too in detail on yet ;)
Personalized, handmade gifts are awesome! And photography is an awesome gift to give, too! A couple years ago I gave my grandparents scrapbooks with professional pictures of their grandkids--photos of your loved ones are very precious, I think.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I LOVE personalized gifts. One of my favorite birthday presents was a personalized wine glass for me and a bloggy best friend! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the name plaque! How cute is that!!!!???
ReplyDeleteOMG you and Steve are SO cute.
ReplyDeleteI love giving personalized gifts, especially for weddings. I found an Etsy shop that sells custom cutting boards that turn into cookbook holders. It's going to be my go-to gift now!
ReplyDeleteOh what a great idea with the scrapbook mine would love that. Actually just got off the phone with my Grandpa, he turned 91 today!!
ReplyDeletepersonalized wine glass now that sounds fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteI know it's from my sister and it hangs in our living room I just love it!
ReplyDeletehaha thanks :-)
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds very neat. Also I love having go-to gifts, pretty soon people expect it from you if and if they don't get one they wonder why haha
ReplyDeleteMaking them is so much more fun too I totally agree. Last year for our family Christmas exchange we had to bring a gift we made. Photo coasters are my new favorite thing :-)
